What is a knowledge graph for?

Folders say where a note lives. A knowledge graph shows what it illuminates. Notes become nodes and meaningful mentions become connections.

This view complements the file tree. It becomes useful when one subject touches several projects, or when a question starts from an idea whose exact location you no longer remember.

A graph should bring you back to a note, not replace writing. It helps explore a neighbourhood, spot isolated notes and open the relevant document.

An isolated node can reveal an idea worth developing. A dense group can show a topic that is already well documented. These signals offer direction without turning knowledge into a dashboard.
